Growing Green

Growing Green

QRI is growing green! We have started our very own vegetable and herb garden here at the office. Even in the few shorts weeks that we have had it, it has been exciting to see the plants grow! In our herb garden we have: rosemary, mint, parsley, oregano, basil, lavender, chives, dill and lemon thyme. In the veggie garden we planted yellow squash, eggplant, zucchini, okra, roma tomatoes, beefsteak tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, whopper tomatoes,  peppers and cucumbers.

We chose an organic miracle grow soil and a mushroom fertilizer for the plants– we are steering clear of chemical fertilizers for the garden. In addition to the veggies, we planted some orange marigolds around the edge and in between to keep the bugs out of our bountiful fruits.
