How did you get into your profession?
Started working for my dad, an independent petroleum engineer, in the oil & gas industry when I was 17.
Describe a favorite project you’ve worked on?
QRI's Haul & Install project was a very intense and difficult project, but in the end, we were able help people who had lost everything in the flood move into safe housing while they rebuilt.
What is your favorite thing about working at QRI?
Our people, our culture! We have built an amazing team of people and we truly work together to establish and accomplish our goals.
What’s the hardest part of your job?
The hardest part of my job is keeping up with our fast-moving CEO, but it is also the most rewarding part of my job.
What motivates you?
A challenge motivates me, be it a successful proposal/bid or successful project execution or contract negotiation.
What do you like most about your job?
I like working across all 3 sections of our company (sales/administration/technical) to connect people and information.
Do you have any advice for people thinking of applying to work for the company?
We are looking for people who believe in our core values - tap into QRI. People who enjoy a challenge, who are self-starters, who are excited about helping QRI grow.
How has QRI helped you grow in your career?
QRI constantly challenges me to learn about new projects in science, engineering and construction; new methods and new contract mechanisms. Apparently, I like a challenge!!
What is something people might not know about you?
I love fishing!
What do you enjoy outside of work?
Spending time with my family, loving on my grandchildren, traveling, and beach time.
