PROJECT DESCRIPTION
When Hurricane Gustav struck Louisiana, East Baton Rouge Parish received 10 times the amount of damage from previous storms (including Betsy 1965, Andrew 1992 and Katrina 2005). From this catastrophe, QRI was awarded a Debris Removal Monitoring Services contract by Baton Rouge Recreation & Park Commission (BREC) for Quality Assurance monitoring and documentation designed to meet FEMA reimbursement eligibility guidelines. QRI successfully completed monitoring and documentation of the removal and disposal of 80,873 yards of storm-related debris from 185 BREC parks. QRI achieved 100% FEMA documentation compliance resulting in the maximum FEMA reimbursement for BREC.
