PROJECT DESCRIPTION
As a subcontractor to Weston, QRI mobilized a total of 66 personnel (environmental engineers, environmental scientists, safety technicians, task force leaders, supervisors and environmental technicians) for 82 weeks to provide oversight during debris collection, segregation, disposal, and recycling operations following Hurricane Katrina and Rita. Response activities were conducted in the coastal zone of Louisiana requiring removal approaches to sensitive habitats. QRI teams oversaw response activities for removal of orphan containers and disposal of HHW and provided direct oversight and support to the Drinking Water Branch, and at the Murphy Oil Spill site. QRI staff comprised 16% of Incident Command System (ICS) Chain of Command in all four branches of Operations, Planning, Logistics, Administration / Finance.
